LEFT OUT was formed from the ashes of one of the first, most old school of all, plan-it-x bands, INSTINCT. INSTINCT was one of the plan-it-x $1 tape releases. they broke up and some of them went on to make the pop punk band, LEFT OUT.
INSTINCT was a band formed by one of my two only friends in high school, Ray Nolan. we were friends because one day i saw a D&D character sheet in his folder (the last few days of my junior year) and i asked him if he played. he did but currently had no group to play with. I invited him to play in our group and he became a key member with his fighter, Thalion Silversun. Thalion (his role-playing game character) was an arrogant, egotistical bastard that was also fairly racist again elves, dwarves and pretty much all non-humans. after time he came around and became a really good guy. he retired and married an elven warrior named Tara and build a castle/wall crossing the entire valley, from wall to wall, of shadow gap (in the forgotten realms setting).
My first band ever, and the first band on PIX, the TED DANCIN' MACHINE played our first ever out of town show at Ray's birthday party. sometimes that party is referred to as the Greenville bands showcase (as a joke). They loved us because we were the only band that played with a full line up. most of the bands had members that suffered stage freight and refused to play the show. (including the drummer of INSTINCT (Tony, Chris' brother, the drummer of LEFT OUT).
Chris then moved to drums and found some other people to play with. LEFT OUT happened.
