NEW STUFF and OLD STUFF IS BACK! +

Hello.

So, there will NOT be a plan-it-x fest this summer (maybe next summer) BUT, a lot of plan-it-x bands and people will be here: http://www.bereafest.org/
I advise you to come to this fest.

also, get a tape made (100 tapes $100) here:

Thanks for surfing to plan-it-x.com! I hope it is nice outside where you are. It is very nice in Gainesville right now. My name is Chris and I run this "record label". By run, I mean, I pay to release these CDs and records. I have hundreds of boxes of them in my house. I take orders for these CDs and records and send them to the people who order them. The bands on PIX are my friends. They do not get signed. They do not sign anything. This is a thing I do because I love this music. This is a DIY project that has lasted for 15 years. Yes, Against Me used to be on PIX. For more information on how the label works and what the bands get and stuff please read the FAQ.

When I started the label, people used to do "mail order". That means, you write a letter listing the things you want and send some money and the label sends the stuff back to you. Things have changed a lot since then (sorry, my tone is supposed to be light hearted, not bitter). Now, it's all pay pal and credit cards and people want to know what their tracking number is and stuff. It is less fun than it used to be. I tried doing pay pal orders but it made my life boring and lame so I quit. Now, if you want to order any PIX stuff online, I suggest you do it here: http://www.noidearecords.com/labels/planitx/ for nearly the same price (don't worry, PIX still benefits from anything sold at NO IDEA). Sometimes I feel like the era of record labels is passing and I should quit. My problem is, I don't know how to do anything else and this is what I love to do. I refuse to become a digital download label (what would my purpose be then?). I refuse to form ties with the credit card people. I refuse to sell CDs for more than $5 postage paid. Where does this leave me? Do you still like mailing letters? getting mail? owning physical copies of music? Please let me know. I mean, What if you lose your eye-pod? or your computer breaks?

Which brings me to a special offer. If you send me a short letter with a self portrait (drawn), I will send you a free CD (a surprise). This is no joke, the deal is FREE! (well, it will cost you .42 cents).

NOW, THE NEWS.
The Spoon-boy CD "I love you but this is a robbery" is back in stock.
The DEAD FRIENDS CD "s/t" is out now! They are on tour. They are a hard core punk band.
Heathers and Ghost mice are touring again this june (east coast) and will release a limited tour CDR much like the paul baribeau/ghost mice tour CDR in which they cover each others songs.
Plan-it-x should be moving in may/june somewhere (I have my ideas). If you live in a dead city without a McStarMart (get it?) let me know. It must be really empty and dead or dying with no hope for colleges or condos or corps.
Paul Baribeau is up north, Matty Pop Chart is going back to school, Carrie Nations played a show, I am in a new band called IMPERIAL CAN, Hannah's cat is okay (it was attacked by a pit bull), Russ Substance is moving to China, Gerd is coming to visit and tour (talking about squats in Berlin) in Sept, Eric Ayotte lives in bloomington and has a job a Rhinos All Ages, This Bike is a Pipe Bomb's first two albums should be back in print in a few more weeks, Madeline and Defiance Ohio are touring Europe, Samantha Dorsett (label founder) is doing much better.... I'm sure there is more news...

DISTRO DEAL
If you want to start a distro, or just load up on CDs this deal is for you, ANY 30 CDs of your choice for $100 postage paid (you can even pay via pay pal but then it's $107) Just send your order as usual or pay pal my email address and make sure your 30 CDs are listed and your address is correct. This deal makes more since than my other deals and if you double it up, $200 for 60 cds, you can have everything in print on the label.
